Warehouse Support

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the movement of finished goods and raw materials to and from the warehouse in a manner that safeguards against damage or deterioration.                                        ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Move materials from packing areas to shipping, stretch wrap pallets per SOP, move all non-conforming materials (except foam) to non-conforming cage areas, load and unload freight on trucks.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to drive a fork lift, ability to lift 50 lbs.

Skill Requirements:

Ability to input data using bar code scanner, ability to read and write in English.

Environmental Requirements:

Ability to work in a noisy environment, ability to work in very hot or very cold conditions.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Inspect fork lifts prior to operation.
  • Hook fork lifts to charger for overnight charging.
  • Chronologically or alphabetically file paperwork per SOP.
  • Basic computer skills – inputting data from in bound receipts into the Syspro software system

 REQUIRED PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Safety glasses, steel-toed shoes.

EQUIPMENT OPERATED

Fork lift truck, computer, stretch wrap machine.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certified to operate an industrial fork lift truck.

Cast Shop Team Member

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for performing the kiln load/unload, cleaning setters, operation of the saw, visual inspection of final product,  packing, and salvage saw skill blocks and operating a fork lift. In addition to the process operator skill blocks, team members are also expected to attend safety meetings, comply with housekeeping standards, comply with safety requirements with in each skill block, perform various duties during maintenance shutdowns, complete required documentation, and produce a product to quality and production rate standards.  Team Members will rotate through acquired skill blocks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Kiln Load/Saw:
• Load Kiln per procedure
• Clean setter plates
• Inspect filters coming from the convection dryer for defects.
• Change over saw
• Change out saw blades
• Perform basic saw trouble shooting on saw 
• Perform saw set up check
• Operate hardface equipment
• Clean saw and saw dust collector
• Clean Boric Acid Dust Collector

Packing/Roller Hearth Exit. Rotate among the following functions in this area:
• Remove filters from roller hearth exit, inspect for defects, and gasket 1 filter out of every 3-4 parts.  Mark filters with pre-heat dots and place on conveyor for transport to packing operator
• Attach gasket to filter and trim gasket corners
• Wrap and seal filter in correct size folder
• Box folded filters for shipping. 

Roller Hearth:
Monitor roller hearth temperatures, troubleshoot roller hearth problems, adjust roller speed as required, change out and install baffles and rollers. Know procedure in the event of a pile up. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Must meet requirements for the approved respiratory program in each area of work.
  • Repetitive use of hands
  • Standing for long periods of time

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to perform simple calculations, accurately use a ruler, ability to read and comprehend instructions, ability to work under minimal supervision, have good problem solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand various control panels and navigate basic computer screens. 
• Fork Truck license required.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to work in a very hot, noisy, dusty, and sometimes messy environment. Temperature in the work area will vary based on the season.

 

IAF Process Operator

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for visual inspection and packing of filters produced as well as flocking foam for the department and other areas as needed.  Team members must be able to perform the foam treatment and packing skill block, according to the skill block requirements. Operators are expected to adhere to safety and housekeeping standards, completing required documentation, produce product to quality standards and meet productivity standards.  Team members will be required to rotate through achieved skill blocks.

Essential Functions

Foam Treatment:

  • Start up flocking equipment
  • Make a glue batch
  • Operate flocking equipment
  •  Load/unload foam using conveyor system
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment
  •  Manually flock foam as needed
  • Identify/Verify correct product to be treated per schedule
  • Maintain clean work area for fire prevention

Inspection/Packing:

  • Visually inspect filters for defects.
  •  Pack filters per MO instructions and/or SOP. 
  •  Perform Visibar functions
  •  Communicate high scrap issues to saw operator and team leader.
  • Monitor roller hearth for pile-ups. 
  • Feed blanks to saw or unload parts as needed.
  • Empty saw scrap bag when needed.
  • Take finished goods to warehouse when needed.
  • Work as a secondary inspection operator when needed.
  • Operate and troubleshoot Dense Pack Robot

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work 10 hour shifts
  • Ability to reach and bend
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to drive a forklift.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to perform simple calculations and measurements, problem solving skills, ability to read and comprehend instructions
  • ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work in a very hot, noisy, dusty, and somewhat messy environment.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Maintain clean and safe work area (empty dumpsters, general housekeeping).
  • Complete necessary paperwork.
  • Restock supplies.
  • Put scrap cardboard into recycle bailer.
  • Assist maintenance when the equipment is being worked on.
